2017 was our best year yet. We delivered 329 stockings to the VA in West Haven.
2016 – we are partnered with St Bernadette school, John Daniels school, and Worthington Hooker school to bring stockings to the veterans at the West Haven VA hospital. Last year we delivered 242 stockings! Scroll down for a list of items you can donate. There is also a link for you should you want to donate cash towards items.
2015 – we are partnered with St Bernadette school, John Daniels School, and Amity Regional School to bring stockings to the veterans at the West Haven VA hospital. 2014 – We will once again partner with St Bernadette school to bring stockings and Christmas cheer to the troops in the West Haven VA hospital.
In 2013, we decided to give to the local soldiers in the West Haven VA Hospital. We partnered with St Bernadette school in New Haven and Amity Middle School in Orange. The students at Amity collected goods and then stuffed stockings. The students from St Bernadette brought a choir to the VA Hospital and sang Christmas carols and patriotic songs to the warriors, and then helped hand out the stockings.
2012 was the best year yet! We sent 144 stuffed stockings to our wounded troops! Thank you to everyone who participated, especially to Amity Middle School, King Philip School, and St Bernadette’s grade school.
In 2010, SoHu and greater New Haven sent off 125 stuffed stockings for the Stockings for Soldiers Drive. In 2011, we sent 100 stockings to our wounded troops.
